In order to send text messages from LionDesk, you must have a LionDesk Custom Number. With the Custom Number, you can send texts, mass texts, video texts, and unlock the Text-2-Sell feature! When you get the LionDesk Custom Number, you can choose a local area code and select from a list of available numbers. Click here to learn how to add on the Custom Number.
Anytime you use LionDesk to send a text message, your contacts will receive the text message from your Custom Number. Your contact can respond back to your text messages:
- If your contacts texts the Custom Number, you will see the responses appear in their contact record and in the LionDesk Mobile App. Download the Mobile App so you can take your business on the go.

- If your contact calls the Custom Number, the call will be forwarded to the number listed under Cell Phone on your Profile Page.
Note: If you are apart of a team, the calls made to the custom number will be forwarded to the contact's assigned user and NOT the owner.

If there is no contact record for a person calling or texting your LionDesk Custom Number, LionDesk will auto-create the contact record for you. It will create a new contact using their phone number and the name that is publicly tied to that number.
